We're In a Great Location!

Honestly, you couldn't ask for a much better location. We're two blocks from Santiago Park, one of Merida's most charming parks. Santiago Park has a beautiful church, a thriving mercado, four or five of the cities' best cocinas economicas (good home cookin'!), a playground, a taxi stand, a park setting with park benches and a gurgling fountain, and a live Swing band with dancing every Tuesday night.

       From the Aventura Hotel, you can easily walk to all that. But wait, there's more!

The Aventura Hotel is also just seven blocks from the center of town, the zocalo. You can read more about what goes on there on our Merida page, but suffice it to say that you can walk to restaurants, museums, an opera house, two movie theatres, cafes, bookstores and more... as well as the open air market that takes place in the zocalo on Sunday mornings.

The hotel is also just blocks (walking distance, depending on the size of your suitcase) from the bus station. There's a small coffee shop across the street and a lavanderia (laundromat) just down the street. We provide 24-hour security, and the streets of Merida are very safe, so you can walk to dinner or an event and easily walk home... no need to ever get in a car! But if you want to go to Mayan archaeological zones, it's just a hop, skip and a jump to bus stations or travel agents who can get you there.
